Bill Wilson Center is recruiting volunteers for the upcoming year. We have two volunteer orientations scheduled in January:

Wednesday, January 11th – 6:00 to 7:30pm
Tuesday, January 17th – 6:00 to 7:30pm

All prospective volunteers are required to attend an orientation session. Please choose from one of the dates above and RSVP to me to let me know which one you will be attending. Orientation will be held at our main office, located at 3490 The Alameda in Santa Clara.

Upon completing an orientation session and submitting a volunteer application, you may choose from two separate volunteer opportunities:

1. Volunteer Case Aide: Provides support to foster care families through mentoring, tutoring, child watch, or supervised visitation with birth parents.

2. Contact Cares: Answer crisis line phone calls, providing telephone counseling and referrals to individuals in crisis.

Each of the above programs has an individualized training series that you will be invited to attend following orientation.

If you have expressed interest in the Centre for Living with Dying Program, we do not have open positions for new volunteers at this time, but we will in the future. You are still welcome to attend orientation now to learn more about the program as well as other volunteer opportunities. We may be able to get you started right away and move you into that program once recruitment opens again.
