Providing Individual Valuable Opportunities Together (PIVOT)
The Providing Individual Valuable Opportunities Together (PIVOT) Program is offered in conjunction with the Board of State and Community Corrections and the County of Santa Clara Probation Department.
Services are offered to youth offenders (ages 14 -21) who have been:
· Declared a Ward of the Court and are receiving formal supervision services
· Ordered to and who are exiting the William F. James Ranch Facility
· Ordered to and who are exiting the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Division of Juvenile Justice
A goal of the PIVOT program is to reduce recidivism in youth by providing opportunities to engage in pro-social activities they would otherwise not have access to. By being exposed to new activities, youth can build on positive community engagements to reduce the likelihood that they will engage in future criminal acts.
