Training: Trauma and Death Notification
Giving trauma notification can be taxing on responding personnel. The goal of this
course is to make a difficult job more manageable and reduce the impact upon
personnel in the aftermath.
This training will provide:
- A broad understanding of death, the grief process and potential impact on survivors will be explored.
- Specific intervention techniques will be addressed through lecture, discussion and practice.
- Tools for managing critical incident stress for responding personnel
will be given.
This training is appropriate for all emergency response, public safety, healthcare professionals, therapists, counselors, and anyone in the care giving profession. This training offers continuing education credits for BBS, CEU and Nursing CEU.
