What to Say After “I’m Sorry”: Supporting People Facing Loss

Thursday, September 20, 2012

Very few of us are taught what to say or do in the event of loss, illness or trauma. We may want to help, but may not be sure what works.

In this training, you will explore simple and profound techniques for being present to a co-worker, friend or family member in a positive, helpful way. Useful techniques for self care will also be discussed.

This training is provided by the Centre for Living with Dying Program of Bill Wilson Center, in partnership with West Valley College. The training is free for Santa Clara County Foster Parents and employees of child and family mental health organizations.
