Workshop: Trauma Communications & Death Notification:
Giving trauma notification can be taxing on responding personnel. The goal of this course is to make a difficult job more manageable and reduce the impact upon personnel in the aftermath.
This training will provide:
- A broad understanding of death, the grief process and potential impact on survivors will be explored.
- Specific intervention techniques will be addressed through lecture, discussion and practice.
- Tools for managing critical incident stress for responding personnel will be given.
