Giving trauma notification can be taxing on responding personnel. The goal of this 8-hour course is:
- To make a difficult job more manageable and reduce the impact upon personnel in the aftermath.
- Gain a broad understanding of death, the grief process and potential impact on survivors will be explored.
- Learn specific intervention techniques will be addressed through lecture, discussion and practice.
- Tools for managing critical incident stress for responding personnel will be given.
