California State Senator Dave Cortese and Santa Clara Supervisor Susan Ellenberg announced today, a plan for guaranteed income program for students exiting high school into homelessness. On hand to participate in the event were BWC CEO Josh Selo along with BWC staff and youth.This new Guaranteed Income Pilot Program for Unhoused High School Students will launch in summer 2024 and seeks to break the cycle of poverty by offering short-term monthly payments to help unhoused students exiting high school make the transition into college or a promising career.
