Volunteer for Safe Place Community Outreach

Provide coaching, mentoring and encouragement for a youth-led leadership program.

  • 90% Contact with Youth

  • 10% Training & Monthly Meetings

Volunteer Attributes and Activities

  • Be a role model and mentor to a team of 8-10 youth.
  • Attend community service and outreach projects.
  • Assist facilitation of meetings.
  • Provide transportation to SPCO events.
  • Attend 8 hours of training and monthly meetings.
  • Ability to relate to teens.
  • Understand the difference between coaching and teaching.
  • Ability to allow teens to lead and make decisions.
  • Minimum of one year commitment.
  • Consistent and demonstrates commitment to youth.
  • Volunteers must be at least 21 years old.
  • Available on Saturdays and weeknights.
