Case Aide Program
Bill Wilson Center Volunteer Case Aide Program
(FAQ) provides volunteers to assist county social workers with a variety of tasks for court dependent children, ages infant -17 years of age, who are receiving services.
(FAQ) The tasks are as follows:
1)
Supervising visits between families and children placed outside the
home
2) Transporting children to family visits and appointments
3) Mentoring a child by offering support and friendship and providing a positive role
model
4) Tutoring a child who may need help with schoolwork
5) Child watch
6) Providing respite while parents attend support groups and educational
classes
Description of how to apply and process of becoming a
volunteer case aide:
Step 1: Fill out application and registration form on line
Step 2: Mail in application, registration form and $35 for next upcoming training
Step 3: Call 408-975-5382 to receive further information on upcoming training date and to
receive more information (location, etc)
Step 4: Attend training
Step 5: Attend Orientations after training
Step 6: Turn in paperwork, be fingerprinted, screened, TB test
Step 7: Interview and Testing Process
Step 8: All done once screening has cleared
