PROJECT
SAFE PLACE
|
Project
Safe Place provides children in danger with a link to immediate
help. Safe Place sites, identified by a large yellow and black Safe
Place sign, are available to any child who is in danger or feels
unsafe, whether the threat is from a parent, a stranger, or a peer.
In partnership with the City of San Jose, businesses, schools, and
public and private agencies, there are 350 Safe Place sites in San
Jose.

When
a child requests help, Safe Place site employees contact Bill Wilson
Center trained staff and volunteers who respond promptly. Each child's
service needs are assessed and they are connected with the appropriate
help. Bill Wilson Center responds to calls for help 24 hours a day,
and all calls are confidential.
Safe
Place helps to ensure that San Jose has safe
streets for its children.
